We all knew this would happen. We knew that despite several warnings, some idiots would fuck up their eyes from looking directly into the sun without glasses during the eclipse. Well, rapper Joey Bada$$ seems to slide into this category. After willingly staring directly into the sun without proper eye protection, the rapper would complain about his vision and cancel his next three shows. (source)

“This ain’t the first solar eclipse and I’m pretty sure our ancestors ain’t have no fancy eyewear. Also pretty sure they ain’t all go blind.”, Bada$$ tweeted.

He’s right. They didn’t ALL go blind. It was just the dumb ones who were stupid enough to look directly into it. Stupid people existed then & they exist in droves today. Common sense alone should tell you that staring at a flaming ball in the sky that’s 40,000 times brighter than the full moon, might have some repercussions.

Bada$$ would then go on to cancel his next three tour dates for unknown reasons. Although, his tweet history after the eclipse mentions “seeing double” & also mentions how his doctor told him he needs to wear darkened glasses in daylight for a while.

If you think looking directly into the sun was a badass move for Bada$$, you should go do the same thing and let me know how it turns out.
