‘Tranny Granny’ Halloween Costume Gets Recalled. This Is Why It Shouldn’t Be!

Amazon, Target, and Walmart have decided to pull the ‘Tranny Granny’ costume for being offensive. I shake my head in frustration. Get ready for a rant.

Ok, I’m going off on this! It’s Halloween. I hate how we now live in a world where we need to worry about pissing people off. What is offensive about this? It’s essentially just a guy dressed as a woman. For one day out of the year people should be able to dress however the want!  Plus, if you are going to single out this costume, why stop with the ‘Tranny Granny’ costume? I guess the costumes listed below should be pulled also. Lets take a look!

Since the British red coats fought against the colonists during the American Revolutionary War, I don’t think this costume should be considered appropriate in America. redcoat

I guess Native American costumes should be pulled also. After all, it’s not appropriate for a white person to dress in black face. Why should we be able to dress as Native Americans? Get rid of these!

Look, it’s the drunk Tequila Bandito Mexican! This costume is offensive and stereotypical. I don’t even think I need to say anything more.

Not only is this a man in a woman’s costume, but it could promote teen pregnancy. Mixing teen pregnancy and education is no laughing matter. Pull this costume too!

Why are we selling fat suits for Halloween? Obesity is a serious problem in this country. Over 35% of U.S. adults are considered obese. Plus, being overweight dramatically increases your risk of diabetes. This is not funny!

It really pisses me off that people will single out the ‘tranny granny’ costume simply because the topic of Transgender rights has been hot this year. That’s the only reason. If not, then why haven’t the above costumes been met with equal criticism? Let people dress how they want. It’s Halloween!
