Over last several years, superhero adaptions from comic books have become extremely popular. As a result, Hollywood keeps pumping out more and more of them. While the craze doesn’t appear to be winding down anytime soon, nothing lasts forever.
I’m not saying super hero / comic book movie adaptions will go away entirely, but at some point the popularity will inevitably die down. The market is due to become so saturated over the next couple years.
So far, this is what the foreseeable future looks like. I’m sure this isn’t even a complete list. Batman v Superman, Captain America Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange, Wolverine 3, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, The Flash, Wonder Women, Another Spiderman reboot, Deadpool 2, Thor 3, Two Justice League movies, Two more Avengers movies, Black Panther, Ant Man 2, Aquaman, Green Lantern Reboot, Captain Marvel. That sounds exhausting!
Seriously, just make it stop! I understand that isn’t going to happen though. Like any business, you need to strike while the iron is hot. I get it. I just wish that didn’t always equal running it into the ground.
